Hello Zaiki-san, I'd like to say that my words might not count much as I'm not a fan of yours (at least until this moment, I ignorantly came to know of you because of this whole ordeal but I'll gladly give a try to any work you have been or will be in the future), but I still felt the need to write something in this hard moment in your life. I truly think that words, even those of a perfect stranger, have a huge power... so my hope is that many positive and supporting message will, if not counterbalance the amount of nasty ones, at least be able to give you even the tiniest bit of strength. You have really done nothing you should feel sorry about. You have every right to be happy and in a relationship with someone that makes you happy in return. I might not be your fan but I've spent money to support a particular artist I'm fond of, who I admire and love. Should he ever, in the future, reveal (or any information leak) to be in a relationship, aside the very first moment of surprise, I'll only be happy for him knowing he was able to find someone he loves and who he loves in return. I really believe artist-fan relationship (merely in term of mutual spiritual support, not as in a romantic one) do exist and can be wholesome for both parts, unfortunately in Japan there seems to be a specially extreme point of view where idol are objects of idolization who don't have a right to have a private life and a choice to be in a relationship... and that's plainly insane. I do understand the feeling of falling in love with an idol, and you've all the rights to hold those feelings close to your chest. But when your feelings of "love" become feelings of "hate" for finding out that your beloved idol "dared" to try to be happy in his private life, outside of his public image... I think that's just merely being immature, delusional and that your love was probably less wholesome than you try to make it. Isn't it normal to feel happy (although you can feel sad of course) knowing someone you love and whose works helped you in any way has found happiness, be it for now or forever? I think that even in the case one can't help feeling jealous or saddened, love and happiness for the other's happiness should always be the feeling to win over. I know of people lamenting of how they spent money to see you or to support you by buying your merchandise... so what? Being in love and in a relationship with a girl doesn't make you any less of a good artist and if those people appreciated you until a few days ago, they should be able to do the same right now. I'm sorry because I know I'm speaking probably without a full grasp of the whole situation, of the Japanese society and of your relationship with your fan, but I'm sure of one thing: pretending from you a life of romantic abstinence just because they're your fan and support your work is pure folly. You haven't killed a man, you haven't robbed anyone, you just tried to have a private life and that's something anyone is entitled to. I hope I haven't been too direct or brazen, I just poured my honest feelings on this message and I hope my good intentions can somehow reach you. I wish you all of the best from now on too and I hope there will be more and more Japanese fans supporting you!
